Abu Dhabi, 25 April 2016: Quest Arabiya, the MENA region’s new Arabic, free-to-air TV channel, received the “Best in Class” honour from the Interactive Media Council for their website design and development.

The Interactive Media Awards, which honours individuals and organizations from across the globe for their outstanding achievements, regards Best in Class as its highest honour.

The award is a fantastic endorsement of Quest Arabiya’s interactive digital strategy, with the channel priding itself on its website and committing to engaging with viewers through its various digital and social media platforms.

Mahmoud Khalil, digital and social media manager for Quest Arabiya said: “We believe strong digital platforms are absolutely vital in the modern TV market therefore we are absolutely delighted to receive such a prestigious international award.

“Our digital platforms allow us to interact with our audience and they give us a better real-time understanding of what our viewers want to watch on the channel.

“Since we launched in December 2015, we have been using the website and social media as a listening tool that connects us with our audience and helps us shape our programming grids based on the feedback we receive about different shows.”

The Channel which broadcasts 24 hours a day, to an Arabic audience of 340 million people in 45 million households has also been nominated for the MENA Digital Awards 2016, which will be held in Dubai on April 26th.

The website includes a catch-up service that means all programs will be available online for seven days after airing on TV. It has also been recognised for being extremely user-friendly as it enables viewers to watch a selection of programs on any laptop, tablet and mobile anywhere in the MENA region without having to download an app.
