UK/UAE 2017 marks a Year of Creative Collaboration and cultural exchange between the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates.  Led by the British Council, the Season falls under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and HRH The Prince of Wales.

In recognition of the significant role that film can play in bridging cultures, Image Nation Abu Dhabi and the British Council have partnered to deliver this special programme, showcasing filmmaking talent from both the UK and the UAE.

Over the course of this week-long event we will hear from some of the leading voices in British and Emirati cinema, and honour a group of up-and-coming filmmakers in a UK/UAE short-film festival.  We will be taking some of our featured filmmakers and films to communities across the Emirates for a special series of screenings.
