The documentary about Nobel Peace Prize winner has a star-studded premiere in New York, while more than 6,000 girls were on hand for a spectacular opening night in LA.
The film has received widespread acclaim, with incredible reviews from critics and cinema-goers alike.
Now on general release to the public in New York and LA, the film opens across the United States this week.
He Named Me Malala is being released by Fox Searchlight Pictures, in association with Image Nation Abu Dhabi, Participant Media and National Geographic Channel. The documentary was produced by Walter Parkes and Laurie MacDonald under their long-term partnership with Image Nation, and also produced by director Davis Guggenheim.
