HE NAMED ME MALALA AND ZINZANA WIN BIG AT GOLDEN TRAILER AWARDS

Zinzana collected two awards, while He Named Me Malala won in the Best Documentary category

Two Image Nation films have picked up gongs at the Golden Trailer at a ceremony held in Los Angeles.

He Named Me Malala, co-produced by Parkes/McDonald and distributed by Fox Searchlight, picked up the top prize in the ‘Best Documentary’ category for its intimate portrayal of Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Malala Yousafzai.

Arabic psychological thriller Zinzana (Rattle the Cage) directed by Majid Al Ansari took home two awards for ‘Best Music (Foreign)’ and ‘Most Original Foreign Trailer’, which was created by creative marketing agency Zealot.

The annual Golden Trailer Awards honours achievements in motion picture marketing, including film trailers, posters and television advertisements. Judges for the 17th edition included Tom Hooper, Tim Miller, Seth Gordon and Mary Jo Markey amongst others.

Image Nation’s significant wins at the awards further bolsters its mission to develop a growing film industry in the UAE that is internationally recognised.
