26 July, 2023: Image Nation Abu Dhabi, VOX Studios and MBC STUDIOS today gave fans of the fantasy phenomenon HWJN a fresh glimpse at how the story is evolving from the page to the silver screen with the release of the first full trailer for the film.

The film is the adaptation of the Ibraheem Abbas’ fantasy romance novel HWJN, which was first released in 2013 by Yatakhayloon and became a number one best selling novel in Saudi Arabia.

Directed by Yasir Al Yasiri (122, Kaboos), HWJN features a superstar cast including Saudi actors Baraa Alem (The Sun of Gnosis, Route 10) , Nour Alkhadra (The Matchmaker), Nayef Althifery (Rashash) , Alanoud Saud (Blackmail Note, Boxing Girls) and Mohsen Mansour (207). The film is also produced by Axx Productions from Yasir Al Yasiri.

The story is a mix of fantasy and romance and centres on the kind-hearted jinn HWJN. Living among humans in modern-day Jeddah, HWJN’s story unfolds as he embarks on an epic journey to reclaim his birthright, battling ancient evils to uphold the balance between his world and ours while developing an unexpected connection with Sawsan, a young medical student.

HWJN is one of the biggest projects to date under a landmark production partnership launched in 2019 by Image Nation Abu Dhabi, VOX Studios and MBC STUDIOS, the in-house premium content production arm of MBC GROUP, three of the region’s most significant entities in the content and entertainment sector. The groundbreaking alliance supports film and TV projects from inception to distribution, representing a significant boost to the region’s growing film, TV and entertainment industry.

The release of today’s full trailer for HWJN follows a teaser trailer unveiled at the Red Sea International Film Festival in December 2022.
